Demon's Souls Remastered coming to PS5

Not sure if this is old news since I haven't been paying attention to the new consoles coming out, but I just saw that they are finally remastering the OG Souls game. The one that started it all and my personal favorite of the series. As usual, I tend to stay far away from videos and reviews, but I have seen a few confirmed reports there will be new items, armor, and weapons added as well as a plethora of new features that were readily available in later games. If I buy a PS5, it will be specifically for this title (and maybe Horizon Zero Dawn 2) but if they eventually bring Demon's Souls Remastered to PC like they have with the rest of the series, then I won't have to waste my money on another console for a few exclusives.

Demon's Souls Remake is confirmed to release for PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020. Well, I think it had already set new benchmarks for RPG games when it first released in 2009 for the PS3.

It was my first PS3 game I played and I think the first game I played on my new 1080 TV. The opening cinematic was (and still is) breathtaking. It was one of the few games where I watched the full intro every single time I started the game.

In the SOn\y showcase video prior to the pre-orders, the video for the game said "also on PC". Sony removed it and said "not true" LOL

It took a while for the other Souls games to hit PC, so I'll give it a while. Besides, if I'm building a new PC next year for Cyberpunk and Bannerlord, I don't need to be spending even more money on a console. I can wait.

At worst by then if it isn't coming the PS5 may actually be available in some quantity and you won't have to fight bots for scraps.

It was obvious even at the time that it was a mistake. That text about also on PC was an asterisk fine print bit, but there was no asterisk for it to clarify. Someone accidentally reused it from the FF XVI screen right before it in the showcase.

I guess you weren't supposed to kill the two dragons? Only way I could on the PS3 game was cheesing with arrows. Kind of hoping they change the game to make them into interesting fights.
